  • Education

Since its inception, one of the most tantalising possibilities for the use of television, was to bring learning into the home and hard-to-get-to places.

The power to teach, remotely, whether to the housebound, or those living in isolated communities. In the hills, mountains and even the jungle, or places cut off by weather and sea, with the help of television, the classroom could come to the student.

Education was available for adults, teenagers and even toddlers, without the need to slip on a coat and shoes. Open University or programmes for schools.
