i would like my mothers house have a make over as my mum is always doing thinks for us she is always paining or wallpapering for us thats not all she goes to three schools on a morining and three schools at night then takes me or my sister to the shops then she is off to take my son to meet his girlfriends house then picks him up at end off night she never has time to do her own house up the stairway is still have done and dinning room undone my mum says as long as yous are alright that fine with me please help me thanks daughter gloria

I would like to nominate my MOTHER for a 60 minuite makeover. The reason behind the story starts here. My young Aunt Jane (46) who is a survivor of a kidney and pancreas transplant was in full health and decided with her husband to buy their new home together, an old farmhouse with land, Jane is into her horses and wanted to have a small livery yard with the house so that she and her husband could take the slow life and make a living together from home, all going well they start to renovate their old house and getting well on the way with my MUM always over to lend a hand with the paintbrush anything she could do to help. If anybody needs help she is there, Jane started feeling tired with all the work so MUM was again at hand for her to help Jane look after her family and do the house. Jane became very ill and was rushed to hospital, we all got the terrible news that Jane now had Lymphatic Cancer due to the transplant. Janes house was only half finished with no heating no carpets etc. MUM made the immediate decission that Jane and her family (Husband and daughter) move in with her and my stepfather untill Jane has recovered. This all happened just before Christmas 2007. Jane is being cared for at MUM'S home 24/7 by MUM and Janes husband is now able to get on with renovating their home as he knows Jane is in good hands with MUM.
MUM and my stepfather have totally changed their lifestyle to cater for Jane and her family, MUM'S house now looks 'lived in' as MUM can not take time to worry about the house as Jane is far more important.
Jane has asked me to write to you to see if MUM would qualify for a 60mm as for Jane she can never repay the kindness her sister (MY MUM) has given her and we both feel this would just be the icing on the cake for MUM as she is so into her house and interior designs, not because she is MUM but you would not get a more deserving and grateful person!!! Hopefully the good news is that Jane is on her last Chemo and looking forward to the summer and life and her new house as the doctors seem fairly confident that she was caught in time......
Mums house is a nice detatched house but rather bland and a little old fashioned inside, she always watches the show with Jane and says how she would like to maybe try this style and that style etc. Her kitchen came from the newspaper but she and my brother fitted it together and it looks ok...... generally the house needs a style as I feel it is very bland and could look stunning if designed properly.
UNFORTUNATELY JANE HAS NOW LOST HER BRAVE BATTLE BUT TO THE LAST ALWAYS ASKED IF I HEARD ANTHING FROM YOU.

I watch your program every time it's on and love what you do to the peoples houses and love how happy the people look. 5 years ago my bestfriend was diagnosed with cancer and was given a very short time to live. In that time my mum and my step dad did everything they could for her to have the best last few months of her life. They got themselfs into abit of a mugle as they skiped a payment on there morgage so we could pay for places to go with Gemma (My best friend) unfortunatly my best friend past away but Im sure she was very greatful for all my parents did. Since then I have had 2 babies whome adore my mum and step dad. They do loads for them and make sure they get what they want and need. I just wanted to do this for her as she trys her hardest to design her house but doesnt quite get it right, and for all the things she does for me and my partner with helping out with the kids.
I would like to supprise my mum and step dad, they have been living in there house for around 5 years. They have being trying to do the house up for so long and yet they never ever get round to having a really nice bedroom. my other siblings have tried to help out but they always say sort your self out first. We think that they come first but they never see it that way. we would just like to give back to them for all the love and care that they have giving to us, no matter what situation has acurred. I am a new mum and yet my mum chose to make sure I got settle and that her grand child had everything it needed. We always watch your show and we think that the designs are wonderful. Does the makeover cost the person anything who has the makeover or does it cost the person who nominates them?
Me and my husband have had a run of bad luck recently including both having back operations and are unable to do any maintance to our house and are used to doing it ourselves my father-in-law past away and my son has had an operation on his feet. It would be graet if you could help us out as we are both looking at the possibility of being made redundent by xmas.

please could you do a 60 minute makeover on my mothers house..my father and her have been divorced for over a decade and she has always worked hard to provide for us her 4 children, putting us first, she works full time and has tried to do up the house over the years but due to work and finances it has been a long task...it would be really nice if you could do this for her so when she has a week off work she can actually relax instead of spending the time doing things in the house, and so all she earns isnt spent on doing the house so she can have a well deserved holiday

My husband was diagnosed with progressive MS 3 years ago at the age of 40 and has had to give up work as he is now registered disabled, he cannot walk much and suffers pains and great fatigue due to his condition. We had to move to a smaller house as we could no longer afford the mortgage on our old one, and have been doing it up ourselves for 2 years now, I work full time, look after my husband and have been working on the house every holiday and weekends but it is becoming more difficult now as my husband cannot do much and I can only do so much myself, in between looking after him. We cannot afford tradesmen and have spent almost all of our savings. I have done most of the decorating and some tiling, but it is slow going now and lots of jobs that have been started need finishing, it would be so nice for everything to be finished then we could enjoy the house finally be able to relax in it. I know you receive hundreds of applications but thought I may as well try our luck, thank you for your time.

Hello my name is emma and i work with with a wonderful woman called lynne evans, we both work in supporting living for metal health and homelessness, lynne has lived in her home for nine years and still hasn't got round to decorating due to time and money. Her lounge, hall, dineing room, and bedroom desparately needs a lick of paint or anything really. All the walls are semi painted or semi wall papered. I know this realy gets her down, also she feels sometimes embarassed to invite people and work coleges round, or if she does she constantly appologizes for the state of the house. Lynne really is a lovely giving and caring person who deserves to get a little back. She has two children and her husband is a hairdresser who also works lots of hours, and is not overly gifted in the deco department! After raising 6 kids and untold grand kids even though under going untold ops mums always fought to keep us warm and safe. for the past 7 yrs shes been on dialysis and has been for the third op this year alone. I would love to give her a fairy tale bedroom, actually she deserves alot more!!! Great seeing you bring so much joy to so many people. Keep up the good work
Hello I sky plus your show everyday and love it I would like to recomend my brother for the 60 minute makeover as he has had some very tough years and is the typical man at home who dose not have time to improve his home it has been the same for at least 10 years and is need of some serious female attention as there has not been any female influence on his home since his wife left him over 16 years ago! she left him with his two boys so as you can imagine he is in need of a definite makeover I love my brother to bits and I think he defiately deserves this as I am currently undergoing chemotherapy and he has been a good friend and brother during this and this my way of paying him back for this Please please consider him for this as It would mean a lot to us as a family Heather xx

i can not remeber a single moment where they havent struggled to keep a roof over my head and also my 19 year old brothers who is autistic. now that i have left home, i would just like them to enjoy what they have struggled for, for so many years... give them what they deserve!

i would like to put forward my mums home for 60 minute makeover it would transform her life.she has just given everything she can for her children and even walked around with broken knicker elastic to provide for us,she has always had to make due with bodge jobs and has never had nothing new or anything for herself to be proud of...My mum has a big problem with her weight and spends majority of her time at home,how nice would it be to spend time there in complete luxury and to be proud of her home instead of everything falling apart and being either left or bodged up,please please consider her for the makeover show,this is one lady who would appreciate this with all of her heart

I would like to nominate my mom for the program. Mom has retired long ago but through out the years I have watched her bring us up without any remorse for what she could not have. She has been the bread winner for most of my life. I cant say a time when she has had the money to buy her self anything nice or even to decorate the house as she would like. Right now she's going through a rough time as we have just has a huge leak in the house and she is trying to get all that sorted out by herself. I would just like for once to be able to do something nice for her and say thank you for being such a wonderful mother.
My daughter, Maggie MacBean, is a single mum with an 11 year old son Sam. She works really hard and deserves a wee morale booster. I think you would really enjoy redesigning her home for your show, and her house would be ideal to showcase what your show can accomplish. Maggie and Sam would be so thrilled. I hope you will consider coming to Glasgow and doing a makeover for them.

Heya, I would like to nominate my mum for a 60mm. She is the best mother ever and she really deserves to have this done for her. She is a single mother and does her best to support me and give me everything. I really want to give her something back. In march she also lost her step-dad who was basically her father. She was very close to him and it was really hard to lose him as it was sudden and he was still very young. She also looks after her grandmother who has dimentia, and her partners mother who has alzimers. She does all this aswell as looking after me and holding down 2 jobs.

Hi, I would like to nominate my husband bryan for a makeover. over the last few years we have taken care of my great neice Elly who was 5 at the time and is now 11. My daughter Louise split with her partner and moved back home with our grandaughter Olivia who is now 21 months old. Last year bryan had to have a cancerous tumor removed from his bladder, and still needs to go for check ups, he also suffers from diabetes.My daughter has had to have cancerous cells removed from her cervis, and now he is nursing me, after having a steel pin inserted in my heel and had my achilles tendon lengthened. I have been in cast for the past 8 weeks and hopefully willhave it removed in the next 2. He has been brilliant through all this and unfortunately he is left with all the decorating to do. It would be great if you would consider him for a makeover.thanks.
Hi, I would like to nominate my mother-law as she has been through a lot. Battling cancer in all differnt parts of her body for over 13 years, has had over 30 operations. Just less than two months ago she was diagnosed with Liver Failure which has knocked her for six she is now on the Liver transplant list and is currently on 15 different tablets a day which is enough to knockout an Elephant so ends up missing the whole day and I know it really hates missing the day because she is a natural busy body and it breaks my heart not seeing her as she used to be. Please give her a 60 min makeover as this will give her more incentive to fight her nevt battle. Thank-you

I would like to nominate my son, Matthew, and his partner Sarah. When Matthew was 29 he was diagnosed with kidney failure. He had just moved into a rented flat with Sarah and they had had all their future to look forward to. The diagnosis was devastating. He was so ill for two years and couldn't work having to eventually go on dialysis. Throughout all this time Sarah was an absolute angel. She worked to pay the bills and supported him emotionally throughout this period.
I was tested to become a donor, but it was discovered that I had kidney disease and couldn't manage on one kidney. This was terrible news as we had believed that the transplant would go ahead. Eventually, totally out of the blue Matthew got a call from the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle to say that they had a kidney for him and the operation went ahead. We are eternally grateful to the donors family for allowing the transplant to go ahead as it meant that Matthew and Sarah could look forward again. They managed to buy a house in Ferryhill, but are struggling to do the things that they want to do to the house. This is the reason for my nomination as I feel they are really deserving and would really appreciate a makeover.

she has lived in her house for 20 years and she loves it, she has done so much for everyone right now shes got her brother and her neice living with her recently she has lost her mum and sister and she never thinks about herself shes always putting everyone else first and she just deserves somethink back so if you could posibly makeover my mums house that would mean the world to us all hope to hear from you soon

My mum recently inquired about the programme and the possibility of having a surprise makeover for my dad who is disabled and a recovering cancer victim. You seemed quite interested by everything my mum had told you but due to my sister having to be rushed into hospital and spending almost 3 weeks there, mum had to care for her aswell as my dad and missed the deadline for returning the application form. Mum thinks there is no way you would consider sending another application to her and has decided not to try again. I am sending this e-mail on behalf of me, my partner, our 3 children, my sister and my 80 year old nan(who's brill)to ask you to do a surprise makeover not only because of dad's illnesses but also to say thanks to mum for all the years of help and support she has given to all of us and to show how much they both mean to us. Pleasa couold you email me as to how i could apply for my parents house to have a makeover. I and they have been avid watchers of the program for years. This is the first time that i have plucked up the courage to write. My parents are very proud people and have never asked anyone to help them or do anything for them, they have always been the ones to do things for other people. My father has helped set up a bowles club in their home village and they both play there as well as help on the commitee. He is one of those people who can put his hand to anything wether its making wrought iron gates or mending a lawn mower for someone or just helping his grandchildren with their homework. He is known as grandad fix it!!! until recently when he has become less well, he has had many heart attacks and his health isnt what it was. My mother has M.S. (multiple sclerosis) and now is finding life more difficult. They have tried to move to a bungelow so that it is easier for my mum, but they have not been able to sell their house. They would really love to stay where they are but cannot afford to do it up, it looks a bit like a time warp from the eighties and the carpets are rucking up, just waiting for my mum to fall over them and have a accident!! I would like to nominate my 75 year old dad for a makeover. He has being trying to decorate his property for the many years in fact he purchased the carpet and wallpaper 6 years ago and its still in the packaging !! He is a great character always helping others - he dog sits for friends, looks after his great grand son and is one of the kindest people you could wish to meet. i would let to apply for 60 min make over for my parents. 9 years ago we have a bad house fire which coursed 32 thousand pounds worth of damage.
they had the house redone but only bits of it as they didn't have contents insurance so my dad had to go working away .
since then i house needs redoing but my parents just dont have the time to do it them selfs, i would like to thank my mum and dad for all they have done for me and my husband they always but us first whether they can afford it or not and i think this would be a nice surprise for both of them as things have never gone they way .

hi, me and hushand met 6 years ago not long after i fell pregnant i was 16 and he was 18 we had a beautiful baby boy and since we have had another wee boy and girl i'm now expecting our 4th baby, but to get to the point he has struggled to give us everything we need and more he never wants anything for birthdays and christmas, but if it wasn't for him we'd be lost. He has given us so much and i just want to give him something back and i would love nothing more than for him to be able to relax before our baby arrives in feburary as we are getting an extension built at the minute. I have a friend who has 2 sons aged 12 and 10 and would lov eforthem to be considered for their home to have a 60 minute make over. My friend and her sons have suffered drastically over the past 10 years due to the following. My friend married a really nice man who llater in life became alcoholically dependant, she has atruggled to work , raise her sons be the main bread winner and support her husbands drink problem. Ovr the years she has been subjected to struggling topay the mortgage and household bills while her husband drank. 5 years ago she divorced her husband and had to sell the marital home, she and her two sons moved into rented accomodation, where she had to rebuild their lives aswell as her own. LAter that year she was burgled and all her possessions including the childrens games they had received as xmas gifts were stolen and never retreived.She relocated to another rented accommodation where she was burgled a second time. With the family support she managed to obtain a home for her sons and try for a 3rd time to establsih themselves. The passing years were a struggle as the boys grew up she found it harder to cope and the family ahve helped with second hand furniture etc. It would be lovely to have her house made over and for the family to have a new look and comfort. Last year my friends sons lost their father where he was found dead in a hostel, she then had to deal with the funeral arrangements and the aftermath. It has been a tragic 10 years for my friend and her family and although her friends and family are supportive its difficult as we all have our own families and work ties, funding is a problem too but through all this she has tried to be happy and maintain some joy and stability in her sons lives. I hope you feel as we do and consider her home for a makeover.

I would love for my Grandad to have a 60 minute makeover. About 9 years ago my Grandad retied from the post office and he has struggled to cope with retirement. He was a very active man, bringing up five children and helping with his 5 grandchildren. Since his retirement his health has gone down hill and last year he had to have major heart surgery as he had a faulty heart valve which resulted in him being very ill. My Nan and the rest of the family have helped him as much as possible but he is a very independant man and struggles to ask for help.He now has to go back into hospital as the heart valve has become damaged in just under a year and will be undergoing emergency surgery within the next week. My Grandparents have lived in Surrey for 9 years now after leaving beind their home in Batterse and leaving behind very close freinds, one of whom died last week, which has really upset my Grandad. Their house is lovely and a lot of work has taken place however the bathroom really needs work. It has not been touched since they moved in. My Grandad has tried but due to his illness it is physically impossible. I would love to be able to give my Grandad something to take his mind off of the operations and to give him one less thing to worry about. I can see that there are lots of people asking for your help but I know this would make my Grandads day and it would give my Nan a break from worry about him trying to do too much. My Grandad has done so much for me over the years and I would love to give him something back.

Im Kelly.. i would love to surprise my mom! shes done so many things for me and sisters and brothers. she has'nt got much money but trys her best. we just moved in a masoneat.. its not nice at all to be far.. a lot of work needs to be done. and its going to take my mum 2years to get it all done because looking atfer us and bills to pay.. plus theres not a room in the house wid wall paper or carpit which i find really up setting, knowing thats were we live. Hello 60 minute makeover !! we are sixth form students from Stowmarket HIgh School. And we recently moved into the upper sixth common room at school and we were horrified at its state!
There are about 40 miss matched, broken and ripped chairs and tables that are simply unuseable. There is a dreadful stench from the old fish tank which was recently trashed by the older year. And with all our mr muscle and hard labour we can not remove the stains and chewing gum left all over the room.
We would really appreciate a lovely place to study for important upcoming exams, as well as a pleasent place to relax with our friends.
Our school does not hav sufficient funds to help us remodel our desperately needed space, so we are asking you, 60 minute makeover, please, please help us in our struggle. And reply back as soon as possible
