I was adopted as a baby in 1946 I have traced my birth mother who sadly passed away 6 weeks before I found her. I have no information on who my father was other than rumours and conjecture. Please can you tell me if there is any help available.

I would very much like to put my mind at rest. At different times throughout my life, different people have mentioned that I am not my dad's daughter. My dad has sadly passed away so I cannot ask him for the truth. I remember asking him once when I was in my very early teens but never got a clear answer. My father and I had a very strange relationship, he was always indifferent..I can never remember hugs from him or for that matter neither do I remember tellings off.

As I got older myself, dad and my half brother would go out to the pub and just before going in dad used to stop me and remind me NOT to call him dad but to address him by his christian name.

After my dad died it hit me hard as I knew I would never really know if he ever loved me or not, or if he did why he didn't show it. Perhaps it really was because I wasn't his daughter?....HELP

My dad wouldn't come to either of my 2 marriages.

I recently contacted you about finding my brother I've never met. When you foned me back I didn't know his surname, I found out lastnight that his name is Christopher Lowistoff ( like the artist that painted the matchstick art) & his dad's name is Kenny Lowistoff, they live in Carlisle. I'm gonna do some more research to see if I can find out more & see if I can get sime kind of contact arranged. Hope to hear from you soon Sam....
