Fancy !! the chefs always win. loyd dosnt really no real food at all does he? Thinking burnt food is good food. the cook's do so much better than them idiot big headed chefs. why does loyd always have to choose chefs??????
And as for that tv presenter get him off the tv he's so anoying.
show 16 sept 10 - the decision was a travesty - how could anyone win with a burnt cake with a hole underneath & presented in such a manner? It is obvious that the programme is designed for the professionals to win every time
I am disgusted with the result of the programme today (10 Sept). If Lloyd Grossman can't tell the difference between a burnt pudding and a decent one (even the presenter was saying how burnt it was) then I will not buy any more L. G. products. This program is now becoming a fixed game like the eggheads - no one can beat the celebreties.
I am at a lost for words today's Step up to the plate September 10th saw the professionals win with a burnt desert. This is a fix I think these people should have another chance. It looks as if Lloyds Grossman knew whose dishes they were. I am absolutely gobsmacked at the underhanded way you have taken so that you did not have to pay out £11,000 to the cooks. On the side of the professionals stinks. A disgruntled viewer. You have already had one fine for fixing the outcome. Perhaps you could have another enquiry at the lack of guts you have displayed in this programme.
Anton and Lloyd are good but turned over because of the extremely patronising and egotistical so called chefs. It's about time they were told to stop behaving like little children and learn some manners. It has got beyond a joke.
I'm desperate for the recipe for the MEZE starter from Step up to the plate - can anyone help please.I can't remember which day it was (Aug.4th.?)but I know it was with Paul Rankin. Thanks
Love the programme, its great that we are seeing more of Anton keep up the good work
For all Step up to the Plate recipes please see reply on July 31st 12.58pm
Please advise which amateur team names are being shown as my daughter sat in audience for filming of 3 shows and would like to know if they are on this week or whether she missed them. Who has appeared so far? Can we have a list and if we have missed it obtain a DVD/video of the show missed as she is only 14 and would like a copy of the shows she watched/was audience for and also the recipes please
Many thanks
I tried to source the receipes for the above progamme with no avail. How may I get the reciepies - especially for the prawn curry - please?
Thank you.
I'm trying to find the recipe for the Mango and Brie chicken dish that was made last week sometime.....Can someone help please??
Found the chick pea salad on the bbc web site: bbc.co.uk/food
Look under programmes, step up to the plate, look under chefs, click john burton race and then choose recipe.
I had hoped after the program information about recipes being available that I would be able to find the recipes of Step up to the Plate. Its just another promise of the BBC that they do not keep.
