This acceptable but not top-notch remake of The Day of the Jackal stars Bruce Willis (pictured) as the deadly master of disguise. The original plot is transposed to America and heavily pumped up with FX. The Jackal has has been hired by a Russian mafia boss to kill a top figure in the US government.

The FBI are desperate to stop the Jackal at all costs, and when conventional methods fail, they enlist the help of Declan Mulqueen (Richard Gere), a convicted IRA terrorist, who has his own reasons for wanting to hunt down the assassin.

Released in 1997, and directed by Michael Caton-Jones, it's worth a look.
