Jeremy Kyle presents a confrontational talk show in which guests thrash out their conflicts, dilemmas and relationship issues in front of a studio audience
With all due respect i have watched your show on many occasions and am not impressed with your approach to drug addicts,I have worked with addicts for a long time and have a counselling qualification and am working towards a cognitive behavioural therapy diploma but am aware that your show lacks the basic understanding of a drug addicts life in general terms. I work with the homeless addicts in general but an addict is an addict and your show humiliates this group on a whole and misleads the general public as they like your selves think it is easy to just give up drugs or alcohol, unfortunately it becomes a way of life and a lifestyle that is very hard to break away from and is very complex to understand and you certainly will never understand it by spending a couple of days mixing with this client group in a controlled enviroment.I am sure your show has the best intentions but you approach it all wrong when it comes to this client group and many addicts, I have spoken to agree with me,to address drug addiction we need to get in the real world and face the reality of it, and telling some one to just stop sadly is not the answer to it. I hope you take this comment on board and ask the people who deal with addicts on a daily basis and the addicts themselves what they think would help them overcome this life destucting habit, there are many things I could add to this and as yet I have never seen your show confront the problems a homeless addict has and this is usually the case or the addict that is released from HMP homeless and has nowhere to turn but to what they refer to as a crack house and before they know it its back to the vicious circle they hoped they had left behind never go back to. This goverment does nothing to help them other than set up agencies that an addict can go and talk to a worker for twenty minuets a week, wow that realy sorts their problems out especially if they are on the street. If you realy want to help then ask the goverment to fund more specialised housing projects as it would be cheaper than gaol long term, and stop giving organisations money that is spent on high maintenance staff who get paid ridicoulous ammounts of money but do nothing for this client group other than give them a room with little or no understanding of their problems, and at times set them up to fail due to ignorance. I have worked in such an organisation and am unable to justify the funding they recieve for the little they do. Many thanks for hearing me out if you have. Geraldine

I have a problem, myself. I have aggressive behaviour in work.It was very diffcult control.I alway sometime lose my temper at any time. I don't know the cause of stress. I don't take drink,drug or drug.I have a epilepsy since after 1990. Some joke which i do not understand and it make me fume like nearly lose temper.I find it diffcult and hard understand.I would be force to resign for my reason. I lost my mum in April,2004. I lived on my own ever since.

As a 15 year old girl, watching this programme is really inspiring.
I recently watched a episode where a young boy, paul i think, was suffering from anorexia, i've had issues with my weight too, listening to his story really helped me.
Is there any chance you could either give me a email address for him, or just let me know hows he getting on.

I have similar views and have recently Commented to some friends on what a possible outcome could be to approach problem youths and gangs.
My thoughts are this: Rather then being put into Jail or Boarding School or Youth Prison these young people need to be taken from their familys and put into an environment similar to The Army , where they are broken down and built back up from nothing. Appended to this they also need to remain in this environment until they are of 18-20 years old so that these qualitys will remain with them through-out the remainder of their lives.
The problem these days with society and especially the familys in-particular of these youths is that they are sent to some boot-camp and become a little-bit Disaplined then they are returned to their same environments where all these problems are festering and easgerly waiting for their return.1 month down the line they are worse then they were before going to Boot Camp.
As for Prison,Bostel, and boys/girls homes etc this is an even worse idea as these places educate our Children in the underworld more-so then what they learn't before being placed in these institutions!...
My Proposal would be to any governing body willing to listen , that a "School of Life" be established and youths between the ages of 0-16 that have had 3 or more brushes with the law be sent to this school until they are of the age of 18-20yrs old. (This also goes for Orphans and unwanted children) There they will be seperated into age groups and will not be allowed to intermingle with youths +/- 2 years in different age groups from themselves (this would be to prevent Stand-overs from older children, and bad influences - ) Family Members will be able to mingle on allocated days only ie: Weekends .
They would be educated in real life situations for example Money Managment / Substance abuse / Sexual development etc as Well as Manorisms/Self Expression and Family Obligations. they will be forced to Work (13yrs+) for their living and Disaplined where needed - through some approved Disaplineary Messaure <sp>.
if there was such a place and my Children were to break the laws continuously then I would be more then happy for them to go to "The School of Life".
Of course there would be Family Days where-by Parents & Family could check in on their children but the Child will remain in the School until they are of age to return to society.
This would be with the hope that these Children could be educated and shown a descent way of life that many of them have not known because of the way that the system is structured.
Lets face it locking Little Johnny in the basement for 5-10 years Doesn't make him a better person does it?... Yes it may appease His defendants as they were hard-done-by , but it niether addresses the issues that little Johnny Has nor does it provide a solution to the problem.(When Little Johhny is Released)
If Little Johhny was Sent to "The School of Life" and was found to be a Bad Egg , then he would be sent to these other institutions where he would remain for the rest of his life (this would be a clause within the School). and each students progress would be independantly reviewed by a board of some kind.

From their early teens young people go more for their peer’s moral values than the family values. If you have teenagers how many times have they been embarrassed by something you have said or done in the company of their friends. Rebelliousness is their way of proving they can handle their own lives. You’re just an old fashioned git in these years. Peer or gang culture is the new family to follow, their rules are cool.
No you haven’t got a bad teenager, just one going through new emotions which in time with your patience and understanding will probably work out if you have the stamina to keep going down emotional dead ends
Can you really help them? Are you skilled enough? Bringing up a family is the hardest job anyone can undertake, but most people go through life and take it as it comes not asking or looking for help and when they come up against problems most haven’t a clue how to deal with the situation and pretend it does not exist.
On the other hand, grandparents (no! I’m not getting the violin out) have lived through their lives and learnt a lot, maybe not about modern technology but by the University of Life. There is no greater teacher than actual life experiences, and you don’t forget hard times so easily. We desperately want to pass this education on to our children so they can avoid the bad bits but we are regarded as interfering or being bossy.
The governments of today can manipulate society any way they chose. When they do, it is their responsibility to provide a safety net which they have not done for families.
Family Information and Education Centres should be made readily available for families to learn how to be a parent or grandparent, the emphasis being on education, for how can you do a good job without training. How do you know about changes and how to cope at certain stages in life....You don’t need anyone to tell you what to do but you do need accurate information to work it out for you to use for a happier family life.

While I was on holiday I was watching the Jeremy Kyle Show every morning. Over the week I noticed that he was working for the best interests of any children involved. He appears to be a right cheeky bugger and a bit harsh. But remember it is the children’s welfare we are talking about so why not? He does get the people involved to face each other and the truth does come out.
This, I think could be a form of Community Mediation (non legal) where decisions made are well known to have more effect than those made in secret legal courts.
Jeremy’s no nonsense attitude is getting results and reducing the necessity for cases to use legal courts where they never get (in general opinion) the truth anyway as the outcome of using judges and lawyers seldom seem to be in the best interests of the children.
Could we consider adopting a system such as Jeremy's show.

hi just leaving a quick comment to say, i recently seen an episode about the young mum who had a premature baby. I myself had a prem, I was 23 weeks and 5days on and only 16 years of age. My world was torn apart as I did not want to loose my baby, plus her father dumped me the night after I had Cassie-louise. Who weighed 1pound 4 ounce, we did'nt know if she would survive and he was acting immature. I have had loads of problems up untill suddenly, thank god. All I want to say is I am glad she proved her partner really was the father and I hope everything goes well and if she ever needs any one to talk to feel free to give her my e-mail address. I am now 18 and Cassie-louise doing brilliantly, I am also expecting my second child and yes I know I have been stupid but I am happy now I have got used to it and my partner has moved in and has been bringing Cassie-louise up for a year now and although he was 15 when I met him he is ten times the man Cassie-louise biological father could ever be. me and my boyfriend had been havin problems with our realtionship, we only been together just over 4months but it feels like it was over as soon as we got together, he means everything to me and i dont wanna lose him, we met off the internet in march and a week later we got together and 2days on i went out with my cousin sticky and mate teri for a drink and a unknown caller kept ringin me all night and then told me that my boyfriend told them to ring me and tell me it was over because he found someone else and then i told them to put him on but they wouldnt and they hung up, i tried ringin my boyfriends phones then and there wernt no answer soo i told my cousin and mate teri and paul who had came up not so long after i wanted to go for a walk so we went out and then teri and paul started arguin which wernt what i needed so i went and sat on my own and decided to get away from them soo run down into a lane and they came lookin for me but i was hiding and when they went i carried on walkin about to cool my head down and i was near my mates flat and some boy asked me for a lighter so i started screamin at him because i thought he was using a cheesy chatup line like most guys and then we were talkin and i went up his flat with him and we were talkin and he gave me a massage and a kiss but i couldnt because it felt bad so i told him i was goin to sleep, the followin mornin i rung my boyfriend off my sisters phone because teri had mine and he didnt know nothing about the phonecall and asked me what happend to me lastnight and i told him i went home with that boy and as any guy would do just think that i slept with him staight away but iv told him now il take him up there to ask that boy because i know 100% i didnt and i only kissed him once and when i woke up i went straigh home but now everytime we argue he brings it up iv told him not to but he does it more so now i dont let ot get at me but all we ever do is argue is there anyway to stop that?iv been tryin to think of things to do with us so we can enjoy our self but nothings came up is there anything you can suggest?? thanks alot x x x

hello im 16 and i always watch the Jeremy kyle show. i dont want to come on thw show but i do need some help and i was wondering if you could send me some help via e-mail. the problem is my dad... he walked out on me when i was 2 and on my 4th b.day party he came round and told my mum that he didnt want to see me ever again after about a year he came to our new house and took me out. he did that every thursday every week. About 7 years ago he moved to london with his new girlfriend and for the first year or 2 i went up there every other weekend then i stopped. went up there when he could pick me up. then my step mum got pregnant nd had a little boy then a little girl. over the past few years because of my dad i have been cauncilling and i carved dad in my arm and my mum rang up my dad and he said well its holly isnt it she feels gilty about not coming up here. then when i went up to london to see my dad and alison already had two children befor my dad and they made a mess and alison told me to clean it up and i said no tell then to clean it up. anyway after me saying that alison hit me across my back. about a few weeks ago my dad called me and told me that i had a new little sister who is only a few days old. mind you he didnt tell me that they were exspecting a baby they told my nan nd others but me. i told my mum and she is going nuts and says that my dad has done a lot of bad things to me but this is the worsed since iv been told iv lost weight, i dont eat as much and iv got a really bad tempour.... i need help asap PLEASE help me kyle send me some helpxxx thanx holzxxxx

Lie detector tests are not all correct. There are factors that can influence the outcome of questions. Specifically, the show I am watching now about whether or not the step mum said her husband had raped her. She was previously raped, making that prevelent in her mind. That fact alone would make her heart and pulse race affecting the outcome of the test. I was tested by the FBI in the USA and 2 of my questions had positive results. Upon questioning those results by the FBI agents, they agreed that I was telling the truth. It was a simple case of being accused of something as this woman has been. I felt as though everyone thought I was guilty since I had been accused, therefore it affected the way I was thinking and resulted in the detector giving a result as if I were lying. I think this woman is going through the same thing I was. She has been accused, she is on television AND she has been raped....guilty....RIGHT. Not necessarily. Why doesn't Jeremy do some shows that have real meaning. Is there anyone in this country that is faithful, that has an education, that doesn't take drugs, that has a full set of teeth?

I am an Relgious Eucation teacher in Warwickshire at secondary school. As part of the GCSE course students hve t look at the porblem of poverty in this country and how religions and te government respond. I have just come home after shopping - and there is an episode of Jeremy Kyle where Grahame sleeps rough on the street. This isamazing as it hits on all the points I try to get over to the pupils. Most people choose not to be homeless-there are Good Samaritans out there etc etc. Is tee any posibility I can have a DVD copy or VHS copy of that programme. I would be very grateful.

Hi ive been watching your show and it really enoys me when people blame there past for the way they are. I was brought up by an acholic mother, never had food ,clean clothes, was abused and never had anyone to turn too, my dad is also an acholic. My mother has called me a slag,whore and she wished she
never had me. Im now 30 years old and of course it still hurts but i have a 9 year old son and have made sure that i was not a bad mother to him. I find it very hard being a parent as im not sure if im doing the right thingh by him as ive never had any guidance even today im on my own with no family and some days i cry as its very lonley. Although i am married and very happy with my life even relationships are hard as i find it hard to trust people.
