My hubby and I moved to New Zealand four years ago, and it is the best move we have ever made. It was not easy leaving your family behind, saying that we have added at least five years to our life and we would not go back to the UK. Give it a go if it does not work what the hell at least you gave it a go!. We live in Huia Waitakere Auckland, our village was on your program "Wanted down under" on the 17/9/2008. What a fab life we both have. Anyone wants to give it a go send me a email and I will help you. linda@blythes.co.uk
Hi there, my husband and I have 3 young children and are desperate to emigrate to Australia. We have applied for our visas, just had our medicals done so my husband is now looking for a job, he is a mechanical engineer. We would love the opportunity to take part in Wanted Down Under as we are big fans of the programme.
It seems to me that so many people from the uk have the same idea as me and my family, although my wife and I have been to australia it's age that's stopping me now,
if australia need all the people for their employment skills then why dont they bring back the £10.00 ticket? just as they did in the 70s.
I would be off in a flash!!! like many other brits.
Better stillwhy don't the austrlian goverment let us in without stipulations? those that dont like it can come back to this DUMP we call great britain.
Anyway the best of luck to all who get on the show or who take the plunge to a better life down under Phil (wish I was comming with you)

We two are also loking to emigrate within the next 3 years, I am a Midwife and my husband is a sports development officer, we would be moving with my now 13yr old daughter and possible my husbands now 17yr old daughter, oh and our dog would also have to be an added cost. I watch your programme "wanted down under"frequently with interest and the opportunity you give these families is fantastic but i have just watched the episode of the King family from Cardiff visiting NZ (Fri 19 Sept 08)and from the word go i did not think they would go,they voted GB most times and the 2 things said by Mr King that amazed me most was "its a long way to go to see dolphins"surely he looked at atlas to see how far it was, secondly he said about it not being fair on family they would leave behind, again before thinking of doing something like this, these are things you would consider first and you dont have to go to NZ to find that out.I have had doubts about other families before but these i dont think had any intention of emigrating outside the UK let alone 13/14000 miles away to NZ to me i think they just had a fantastic family holiday which probably cost the best part of £10,000 with everything that was included for free,a holiday most families of 5 could only dream of.T
i would like to know how i can apply with my family to go on the programme wanded down under?

Hi, We have been thinking about moving to australia for some time and we are a family of four, I am a painter and decorator/builder and we would love to have a chance to go down under on your programme.
Hi,we love all the programmes on tv about people moving abroad but the one which has been most relevant to our situation is on a website we came across called emigratetv.com It's apparently been made by a bunch of real life emigrants themselves who wanted to show what its really like to emigrate without camera crews getting in the way so you get to see exactly what their going through. We've learnt a lot from it. I think there are six families in all going to Australia, New Zealand, Canada and America and its called the Emigrate Challenge. At the end you get to vote for your favourite family. We voted for a hilarious South African couple who are moving from England to New Zealand. They're practical jokers and an absolute hoot!
hi, i'm Lisa, 28, (personal trainer/life guard/nutritionist/sports injury therapist/masseuse) and i would absolutely love to take part in your next series with my partener Ben, 30(engineer). Hi there,
We are a family of four, the boys are 10 and 11, we are just putting our house on the market to possibly emmigrate to New Zealand, South Island, but are very confused at the moment about work areas, wages and areas to suit us. I am an Early Years teacher (0-8yrs) my husband is an office worker. If you need a family who are up for a genuine challenge and would like to use us as guinea pigs, feel free to contact us as possible candidates we would all love to try . Many thanks from us all.
Hi,
Does anyone know if this is going to be shown in NZ, sounds interesting. Oh, and by the way, moving my family to NZ was the best thing thats happened to us. No going back (cant afford the flights!).
My husband and I have freinds who have moved down under, they regularly get in touch and apart from missing them we feel that this is the life that we require. We have one daughter age 12 and one aged 3, we live in a small village with a bit of a crime rate and would like to give our children a safe and healthy start in life. I am a qualified hairdresser and my husband is a warehouse supervisor. I hope with all my heart you will consider us for your programme. Hope to hear from you soon..

I was just wondering if this programme will be back in our screens any time soon.(WANTED DOWN UNDER, it was so interesting and informative as am considering to move to Australia to work as anurse. Wish could see more episodes
husband really keen to emigrate to Australia, I would like to but not sure if I have the guts. I am a nurse and husband is a plastics fabricator. We have three children 22 (he probably wouldn't want to go), 17 and 12 (who would love to go). Be great to be considered for next series.
I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT IF ANY MORE SHOWS WILL BE FILMED AS WE'D LOVE TO TAKE PART!
What a great show, would love to take part, and have been looking into moving to Australia. Have a family, work as a midwife and interested in Maternity care over there. How do we apply?
We got on the show after we had been to an emigration exhibition in Edinburgh. We recieved an email from the exhibition organisers and there was a small advert from the bbc looking for families for Wanted Down Under Series 2. We then had numerous emails and telephone interviews followed by a screen test interview in our own home before being selected.
We replied to the advert late April/early May last year. If you see an ad, I would relpy ASAP as they recieve so many applications very quickly. GOOD LUCK!
Jennifer Episode 1 series 2

Hi, this is the first series that I have ever watched and have only seen a few episodes and I have really enjoyed it. I have always longed to stay in Australia but never considered the possibility of actually doing it. This programme has really opened our eyes for the future and really got us considering moving to Australia. I work in sales in communication company and my husband is a manager in a retail store, we have 3 children, a 6 year old and twins at 3 year old. I have been looking into this. I have done the online assessment and our family does qualify. We would like to be considered for series 3, it would be much appreciated if we could get this life changing opportunity. I hope to hear from you soonx
Does anyone have any information on the house shown today at 9;15 in adelaide?? myself and husband are very intrested in moveing to austrailia.. if anyone has information please comment back
We had watched some of the original series and thought it was great. My wife and I have since applied for an independent Skilled visa ( subclass 175) and have been watching the re-visited shows with anticipation, especially the ones for Queensland, Sky Plus is a real bonus when you're at work !. The show gives an honest and sometimes blunt reality of what lies ahead. We hope to have our visas in June, so in the mean time we can only watch and dream that this could be a reality for us very soon.
Along with many others who've emailed before, we'd very much like to know how we would go about applying to take part in your show.
