Based on the best-selling book by Tanya Biank, the smash-hit American drama series Army Wives reaches its stunning conclusion on LIVING this week. Produced by Mark Gordon (Grey's Anatomy), it follows the struggles, dreams and friendships of four women and one man who each have a spouse in the military. Its sensitive handling of issues including alcoholism, post-traumatic stress and marital strife has already made it a massive hit in the US.

In this week's dramatic series finale, the base is put on high alert when Michael (Brian McNamara) discovers that some munitions have gone missing. Although the alert is precautionary at first, the situation becomes much more serious when Michael learns that a cash-strapped soldier is behind the theft, and that he is planning to hand the weapons over to terrorists within the next 24 hours. With many soldiers preparing for deployment in the next few days, Michael has no option but to bring their leaving dates forward to lower the risk of terrorists attacking the base. Frank, Chase and Trevor are all given orders to deploy that evening, leaving their wives distraught.

After waving their husbands goodbye, Roxy (Sally Pressman) and Denise (Catherine Bell) decide to stop off at the Hump Bar before going home. Claudia Joy (Kim Delaney) is also at the bar, along with Roland (Sterling K. Brown) and Marilyn (Katie Kneeland), who has finally summoned the courage to leave her husband, George, for her lover. As the wives discuss the day's events, a distraught George stumbles into the bar and removes his jacket - he has explosives strapped to his chest which are rigged to a trigger in his hand. As Claudia Joy's daughter, Amanda, walks into the bar, George prepares to release the trigger. Tense and tumultuous, Army Wives provides unmissable entertainment on LIVING this week.
