This 2001 British horror thriller with comic overtones is pretty full-on all the way and a high-class act. Written and directed with aplomb by Neil Marshall, a British squad - with limited ammunition - is sent on a training mission in the Scottish Highlands against a Special Operations squad. To their shock, the British squad come across the bloody remains of their colleagues, and there are fierce howls in the night sky.
As the soldiers beat a hasty retreat to a farmhouse, it's clear that vicious werewolves are on the prowl. Can the soldiers survive until dawn?
Highly recommended.
Did you know? Although the film is set in Scotland, it was actually filmed in Luxembourg.
