This new series, presented by George Lamb (pictured, right), tackles some of the UK's escalating problems concerning health and lifestyle. With a range of programmes about health and dieting on television already, Make My Body Younger takes things a step further by using graphic scientific detail to shock the participants involved.

First to bravely undergo a medical examination is 23-year-old Emma Sheldon, a chain-smoking, binge-drinking, fast-food addict, who spends half of each year working and partying as a club rep in Ibiza, and the other half watching TV at her dad's house in the West Midlands.

Emma steps into the "living autopsy" theatre where consultant neurologist Dr Andrew Curran (pictured, left) uses state-of-the-art technology to show the damage she has done to her internal organs. She is horrified to learn that she has the heart of a 45-year-old and that overall her body is 30 years old and clinically obese. This is enough to convince Emma to change her lifestyle and Dr Radha Modgil moves in with her to ensure she does just that.

Healthy food and plenty of exercise are on the agenda, but the biggest challenge for Emma is to quit smoking. After a challenging few weeks she returns to the "living autopsy" theatre to find out if her efforts have improved her health and made her body younger.

With a scientific edge, this series looks set to perform some drastic mental and physical transformations.

Please please would someone tell me how I can appear on this show. I watched it and realised how much I am distroying my body but unfortunately I can not motivate myself to stop not to mention the stress of everyday living and being a mom of a 3 month and 3 year old boys it is very hard to get started and make time for myself.

After watching the episode 15/07/08 i was given a very rude awkening and it's certainly hit home of the damage we do to our bodies daily, in particular my husband who never ever seeks medical advice but after years of drug/alchohol abuse not to mention a non existant diet is showing clear signs of brain damage in the form of slurred speach, confusion very visible tremors to mention only afew of his symptoms. i am desperate to help him, and he is finally at a stage where he would gladly except it although bad experiencis with g.p's have left him far less than confident. we would be massively grateful if you could point us un the direction of that help or advise us on anything that would make even the slightest difference to his quality and quantity of life. many thanks, a very desperate mr & mrs Van-Gills.
