The drama series, set in 2013 and tracing the future of Spooks, continues. With the memorial for the London attack just two days away and knowledge of a second bomb, Charlie (Liam Boyle, pictured) convinces the team to break Abid Malik (Philip Arditti) out of prison.
Charlie thinks Malik might be the only person who can lead them to the MI5 traitor and, hopefully, prevent another catastrophic explosion. He convinces Sarah Yates (Lorraine Burroughs) they're conducting regular surveillance on Camp Windsmere and sends Vik (Christopher Simpson) in undercover as an inmate.
Vik and Malik must both get to the medical room if Rob (Andrew Knott) posing as an emergency doctor, is going to get them out. Vik attacks Malik, breaking his ankle, and then fakes a seizure himself. As the team set off the prison alarms, Rob, Vik and Malik are able to escape unnoticed.
As soon as Malik is on the outside, he reveals he had a photograph of his MI5 handler, which is probably still in his London flat. Rob and Charlie head into highly radioactive London and manage to locate the photograph.
Back on the road north, Charlie and Rob quickly get to work on Malik's photo. When they realise who the traitor is, they know the whole team is in serious danger. With no means of communication, their journey home becomes a mission, not just to prevent a second explosion, but to save their own team from the lethal traitor within...
This new series is broadcast at fairly unsociable times, with repeats at even more unsociable times and is shown multiple times per week. The solution to late nights would normally be to record episodes. But which and when?
There seems to be no way to sensibly identify which episode is which, nor even to differentiate between original broadcasts and repeats! The DigiGuide EPG does not have identifiable episode numbers for any episode, nor does there seem any simple way to identify any episode even when actually watching it.
Without intending to be rude, but simply to make an observation, this is the most ineptly scheduled and identified series I have ever seen.
As of today, a DigiGuide lookup, including past episodes, identifies 25 showings of the program between 10th Aug and 28th Aug, yet no obvious way to see how many distinct episodes have been shown already or will be shown in future. I cannot even tell how many episodes comprise the whole series in total.
This really is a mess.
Is this most basic information of Episode ID Numbers simply not available?
