The three-part thriller continues. In the second episode, events are witnessed from two time perspectives - before and after the murder of Emily (Sinead Michael, pictured), the eight-year-old daughter of Sue (Geraldine Somerville, pictured) and Paul (Ian Puleston-Davies).
Sue and Paul have new partners. Sue is with Cameron (Kevin Whately), while Paul is with Natasha (Kate Ashfield). Flashbacks reveal that Emily is increasingly showing problematical behaviour. She has become jealous of Sally, the baby girl that Paul and Natasha have just had. The couple become distraught when Sally goes missing. Emily took her for a walk, has returned without her and is refusing to tell Paul or Natasha where she is. As well as abducting her baby step-sister, Emily has made veiled accusations of sexual abuse against her step-brother Jack, threatening to blow the fledgling family apart.
Paul and Natasha report Sally's disappearance to the police. Officers try to persuade Emily to tell them what she did with baby Sally. She is tearfully sticking to her story that she was taken by a "warty old man" and wanting her mum Sue.
Where is Sally? Who is the "warty old man"? And could it have a bearing on Emily's murder?

it was so disappointing not knowing for sure who did it . they all could have done it, but i would've liked them to made it clear who had done it. i couldn't understand the abrupt ending with the dad's girlfriend crying at the very end. i wish the producers or someone from the drama could enlighten us.

i think it was emily's dads girlfriend who killed her because she was crying at the very end, and we were shown every other person in the programme who could have killed her but not the dads girlfriend so think it was her

I thought the gf of the real dad Tasha killed her as she was crying & saying sorry at the end but then that doesn't explain why she would've been at Emily's house? Anyone have a better idea?

Does this programme have a follow on because it does not show who killed Emily. Very disappointing when you watch 3 episodes and the end is left up in the air
who killed little emily as i missed last nights episode?
