The adventure series with explorer Benedict Allen continues. Volunteers undergo an onslaught of physical and mental pressure in a bid to be declared "unbreakable".
In this episode, the seven remaining contenders learn some tough lessons at a remote military training ground in Norway. Here members of the region's army give them training in combat survival. Once the volunteers have skied cross-country to reach their first challenge, instructor Hans Petter Gretland abruptly informs them, "Now you're going to feel the most pain your body ever felt."
While the team members crouch behind a low ridge, 5kg of explosives are detonated a short distance away. The TNT gives off a force that generates the most stress a person can stand without suffering internal injuries.
But this is a relatively easy test. Other ordeals the contestants have to face include jumping into icy water and clambering back out while wearing skis and heavy backpacks, spending the night in sub-zero temperatures in self-built ice caves and surviving a gas attack.
